Chunky Chick
Chunky chick lives with the retired cats, but is really a bit of an imposter. She is not an elderly cat but obviously feels that she is entitled to retire. I suppose this is fair enough. After all, she has done her bit as far as increasing the cat population goes.
She was trapped by "Catchit & Grabbit", our intrepid trappers. When they spotted her, she was crossing a very busy main road, carrying a dead rabbit and dodging articulated lorries to get to the far side. She was heavily pregnant and had her previous litter hidden in the hedge bottom next to the road. Both she and her kittens were brought in to the Trust and her next litter was born here. She is a very unusual looking tortoiseshell with big blue eyes.
Chunky was not friendly when she came to us and I have had a few arguments with her with reference to worm tablets, but we eventually became friends and she has turned into a great cat, albeit a bit chunky! But why not?
