Flippance
Flippance is feeling somewhat sad as her friend Moppet died very suddenly on Christmas Eve. She was found curled up in her bed in the cattery kitchen and looked extremely peaceful. This state of affairs is quite difficult to explain to Flippance, who continued to wander aimlessly around for the next few weeks. She now seems to have accepted the fact that her friend is nowhere to be seen and is starting to do a little hunting expeditions by herself.
Flippance has never been terribly brave and finds it quite scary if someone new joins our staff. This is because she relies on people to open and close the outer kitchen door so that she can to-and-fro into the outside world. Just lately, we have had three new part-time staff and this has thrown her little life into great turmoil as she can't quite get up the courage to run past them to get in and out to the garden. So I have to keep going into the kitchen to rescue her from her predicament. I think she's great with her funny little smile!
