Millie
Millie, as you can see from the photo, has come out of hibernation and is actually out and about in the garden. She has discovered that, if you go out of the kitchen door and walk around to the main doors, you can walk into reception and, if you're lucky, sneak into one of the catteries, where there may be a better selection of food on offer.
Her main preoccupation is to slip into the maternity unit where chicken, salmon, tuna and pilchards are usually on the menu. Then, if no one is looking and you move fast, it is possible to get into the operating room. Squiggy, who is twenty, has a bed in there and, if she happens to be having a nap (and she sleeps very soundly), one can eat up what she has left of her very special expensive mini-meals. It is then necessary to keep your head down and, when the door is open, whip out into the yard where the oldies are congregated for breakfast. If nobody notices who you are then it may be possible to join the queue and pretend to be a retired cat.
This whole process of sneaking around can take an hour or two and requires a lot of patience. So this is usually followed by a snooze in the oldies' garden, ready for the return trip.
